Description

THE ORIGIN

Morocco. A workshop full of dust and drying mud. The maker is blind. Lost sight in a car accident. He works by feel. He doesn’t see the symmetry; he feels the balance. This isn’t mass-produced on a conveyor belt. It’s built coil by coil from raw earth. The clay is dug, mixed, and shaped by hands that rely entirely on touch. It’s gritty work.

THE BUILD

Look closely at the surface. It’s not smooth. It’s a map of movement. Thick ropes of clay twist into spirals and waves. The application is heavy. The texture is aggressive. It mimics ancient stonework or biological shells. The black finish absorbs light, leaving only the ridges to catch the eye. There are thumbprints here. There are uneven gaps. That is the point.

  • Features raised, hand-rolled clay coils covering the entire exterior.
  • Matte black finish creates high tactile contrast.
  • Dense, heavy walls provide substantial weight and stability.

THE FUNCTION

Statuesque. Use it for dry branches. Use it for presence. Do not fill it with water unless you use a liner. Do not put it in the dishwasher. This is baked earth. It breaks if dropped. Dust it with a dry brush. Keep it away from high traffic edges.
