The set covers the spectrum: deep blue, ivory, olive green, dusty pink, and mustard yellow. The glaze is thick and glossy, pooling in the deep grooves of the pattern. The edges are scalloped and uneven. They are not perfectly round. The dye lots vary. These irregularities aren’t defects; they are the guarantee that this wasn’t made by a machine.
